Proxies for Torrenting
Every peer in a torrent swarm can see the IP address of every other peer — including yours. Torrenting Proxies provide reliable anonymity with 125+ locations and 10M+ IPs, helping you access torrents quickly and securely.

How Do Torrenting Proxies Work?
A torrent client connects to many peers at once to download and upload pieces of a file. Point the client at a SOCKS5 proxy and those peer connections route through the proxy first, so the swarm sees the proxy's IP, not your home connection. Your real address stays off the public peer list, and the proxy carries the traffic between you and the swarm. Are They Legal?
Proxies are legal, and torrenting is legal — the BitTorrent protocol moves Linux distributions, game patches, open-source projects, and public-domain media every day. What a proxy doesn't do is change what you're allowed to download. Our proxies are built for legitimate, private file transfer; how you use them is your responsibility, and we ask customers to follow the copyright law in their region.Torrenting Proxy Features
We give you the IP, the bandwidth, and the protocol support to move files privately and fast.Your IP stays off the swarm
In P2P every peer sees the address it's connected to. Route your client through one of our IPs and the swarm sees the proxy, not your home connection, keeping your real address off public peer lists.Bandwidth that won't run out
Torrenting moves a lot of data, so a per-gigabyte plan drains fast and gets expensive. Our datacenter and unlimited-bandwidth proxies are built for high-volume transfer, so you can leech and seed without watching a meter.SOCKS5 support
Torrent clients are built to take a SOCKS5 proxy directly in their connection settings. SOCKS5 keeps protocol overhead low and routes your peer connections cleanly, so setup is a few fields and the transfer stays stable.Which Proxy Should You Use for Torrenting?

Why a Torrenting Proxy from Proxy-Cheap?
Quality over Quantity
A huge IP pool means little for torrenting. What matters is a clean IP with bandwidth behind it. We keep a smaller pool that's checked continuously, so the address you connect through is reliable for long transfers rather than one of thousands of recycled, flagged IPs.Competitive Pricing
You can start from $1.49/month on a datacenter IP, move up to static residential when you want a lower-block-risk address, and switch as your needs change. Plans move up and down without penalty, and there's no monthly commitment.Top-tier Proxy Solutions
Our routing keeps the extra hop short, which is what keeps transfer speeds high through a proxy. SOCKS5 support means your torrent client connects with a few fields, and our unlimited-bandwidth options mean the volume of P2P traffic won't cost you extra.User-friendly Interface
A clutter-free dashboard where you can find your proxy credentials, pick a location, and get connected without digging.Customer Support
Setting up a proxy in a torrent client can raise questions. Our team is available to walk you through it.Easy-to-Set-Up Proxies
Enter your SOCKS5 details in your client's connection settings and you're routing in minutes. Our Chrome proxy-manager extension makes browser-side setup just as quick.Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, for three reasons: they keep your real IP off the public peer list every torrent swarm exposes, they make it harder for your ISP to single out and throttle P2P traffic, and with an unlimited-bandwidth IP they let you move large transfers without a per-gigabyte bill. The key is choosing a proxy with the bandwidth and stability torrenting needs.
Datacenter over SOCKS5 for the fastest, cheapest path with unlimited bandwidth. Static residential over SOCKS5 when you want a real-ISP IP that's less likely to be throttled or flagged. Avoid per-gigabyte rotating plans — the bandwidth cost is high and a changing IP breaks transfers. If you're unsure, contact our team.
Copy your SOCKS5 IP, port, and login from the Proxy-Cheap dashboard. In your client (for example qBittorrent), open Settings → Connection → Proxy Server, choose SOCKS5, enter the IP, port, username, and password, and enable the option to use the proxy for peer connections. Save, and your torrent traffic now routes through the proxy.
Any proxy adds a hop, but on an unlimited-bandwidth datacenter IP with a short route the impact is small, and you avoid ISP throttling that may have been slowing you more. Per-gigabyte plans are the wrong choice here — they cap or bill the exact thing torrenting uses most.
The technology is legal and widely used for open-source software, game patches, and public-domain media. Downloading or sharing copyrighted material without permission is not, and a proxy doesn't change that. Check the law in your region and use the proxy for content you're allowed to transfer.
Not safely. Free proxies are shared by many users, slow, often already flagged, and a known route for logging and attacks — and a leaky one can expose the exact IP you were trying to keep off the swarm. For P2P, a vetted paid IP is the safer choice.
